Intermediate Driver Developer (Job Code #1069)
An opening for an Intermediate Driver Developer has become available within Invatron Systems Corp. Working as part of the Application Development team; you will be responsible for the development and testing of drivers, libraries and services while contributing to the overall design. You will achieve this by leveraging Invatron Systems Corp.’s existing models and technology to deliver quality industrial strength scale device drivers for use in the retail grocery industry.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Development:
- C Cross-Platform Software Development
- C++ Object Oriented Cross-Platform Development
- Systems analysis and design contribution
- Proprietary weigh scale device protocol analysis
- Weigh scale device operational troubleshooting
- Development and design of automated testing processes and procedures
- Source control management
Preferred Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in developing device drivers or interfaces preferably in C/C++
- An applicable University degree/diploma or the equivalent in related work experience
- Development experience in Windows XP/2000/2003/Windows 7, UNIX and Linux
- Detailed knowledge of general Unix utilities
- Experience with developing software utilizing serial asynchronous, TCP/IP and FTP protocols
- Experience with SCRUM and/or Agile Development Methodologies
