Metro-Richelieu chooses PLUM
Invatron Systems Corp. is pleased to announce that Metro-Richelieu Inc. of Montreal, the number 1 supermarket chain in the Province of Quebec, has agreed to purchase Invatron's PLUM Scale Management System. PLUM will be installed in their recently acquired Loeb division in the Ottawa region. This agreement was concluded in partnership with Invatron's Quebec based Re-Seller , S.I.R. Solutions. Metro-Richelieu operates the SuperC, METRO, Marché-Richelieu, Loeb and Les 5 Saisons banners for combined sales of almost $500 million in annual retail sales.
Metro-Richelieu acquired the Loeb supermarket chain in June of 1999 and plans to invest $50 million in expansion and renovation. It purchased PLUM for the Loeb banner and has plans to offer PLUM to its corporate and affiliate stores next year. PLUM Scale Management will help Metro-Richelieu manage its in-store perishable operations by ensuring data integrity throughout the enterprise with respect to item and pricing maintenance. PLUM is host-supported by Metro-Richelieu's corporate information systems and is running on a Microsoft Windows™ in-store processor.
