Spartan Rolls Out PLUM to All 102 Stores / May 2001
Spartan Stores of Grand Rapids Michigan has completed a roll-out of PLUM 4.0 Host and Store to all 102 retail stores. Spartan is a progressive leader in the food distribution industry with 127 supermarkets and drugstores from Michigan to Ohio. Spartan operates under the Ashcraft's Markets, Family Fare Supermarkets, Food Town, Glen's Markets, Great Day Markets, Prevo's Family Markets and The Pharm banners.
PLUM Scale Management will help Spartan with its fresh food operations by ensuring the integrity of item and price maintenance data throughout the enterprise. The company distributes 40,000 private label and national brand products to over 350 independent grocers as well as wholesale distribution to 9,600 convenience stores.
