New TCI interface to PLUM / November, 2001
Invatron and TCI Solutions Inc. have recently completed an interface between Invatron's PLUM Scale Management application and TCI Solutions, Headquarters Price-Merchandise Manager (HQPM²) and Store Merchandise Manager (SMM). The new interface enables TCI to direct all forms of fresh food information to Invatron's PLUM Scale Management system for further distribution to the in-store labeling and weighing equipment.
Both TCI and Invatron have worked with a select number of retailers to achieve a totally integrated solution for item management and look forward to offering these capabilities to grocery retailers worldwide.
In addition, TCI and Invatron have announced plans to investigate collaborative opportunities to connect Invatron's PeriScope Perishables Management software with TCI's HQPM2 across the existing customer base in order to further maximize benefits to retailers. Both companies have moved to thin client application architectures enabling retailers with a range of options for deployment. PeriScope enables retailers to accurately monitor and optimize in-store activities related to product replenishment in the various fresh food departments. The software runs on portable handheld computers and enables store personnel to perform markdowns and capture other shrink information in real-time.
TCI Solutions Inc. is a leading supplier of enterprise software solutions. The company offers retailers a variety of integrated applications and professional services to help enhance revenues and better manage merchandise, pricing, workforce, financial and customer functions, and information systems - at both headquarters and store levels.
