PCC Natural Markets selects ePLUM Scale Manager / December 2004
Invatron is pleased to announce that PCC Natural Markets of Seattle, Washington has selected ePLUM Scale Manager to provide scale management to its chain of full service supermarkets.
Puget Consumers Co-op (PCC) began as a food-buying club of 15 families in 1953. Today, it's the largest consumer-owned natural food co-operative in the United States. There are seven stores in the Puget Sound region, doing business as PCC Natural Markets. PCC is owned by nearly 40,000 members who shop (along with thousands of non-members) in their neighborhood locations and value the commitment to advocating high-quality food standards, supporting local sustainable agriculture, educating consumers about timely issues, operating in an environmentally friendly way, and building community.
The PCC store locations will be fed with data from Invatron's PLUM Host item management application. PLUM Host will be utilized to manage scale-item details centrally, maintain data integrity and eliminate data errors in the scales. ePLUM Scale Manager will run at the corporate level on a central server and manage all scale communications as well as providing a complete set of help desk tools including visibility of each scale in the enterprise.
