Stop and Shop completes PLUM Host and Store Rollout / March, 2004
Invatron is pleased to announce that The Stop and Shop Supermarket Company of Quincy, Massachusetts has completed its implementation of the PLUM Host and PLUM Store Scale Management applications.
Stop and Shop is using PLUM to ensure price and data integrity in its item data feed to all scales across the 340-store enterprise. The company replaced their own legacy application with PLUM Host for the Microsoft Windows operating system and PLUM Store for the IBM AIX operating system. The chain submitted the PLUM products to an arduous selection and testing process to ensure all required functionality and performance requirements were met.
Summing up the accomplishment, Tom Barclay, VP of Sales for Invatron Systems Corp. stated: "PLUM Scale Management products are functionally rich and technically robust. As a result, Stop and Shop has been able to implement a packaged solution that provides the flexibility and uniqueness of a custom system-without the usual support and maintenance burdens."
With the Stop and Shop implementation, all Ahold owned supermarkets in the United States, including Top's markets, Bruno's, Giant Food (Landover), Giant Food (Carlisle), and Bi-Lo, are using the PLUM Scale Management system. VP of Sales, Tom Barclay indicated that, "As an Invatron customer, Stop and Shop's use of PLUM is a terrific validation of our commitment to client support and our efforts to continually evolve Invatron applications to meet ever-changing industry requirements."
