Dave's Supermarkets selects PLUM Host and PLUM Store for Windows / October 2005
Invatron is pleased to announce that Dave's Supermarkets of Cleveland, Ohio has selected PLUM Host and PLUM Store for Windows to provide scale management to its chain of full service supermarkets.
The Dave's store locations will be fed with data generated in Invatron's PLUM Host item management application. PLUM Host will be utilized to manage scale-item details centrally, maintain data integrity and eliminate data errors in the scales. PLUM Store is installed at store level and manages all scale communications as well as providing a complete user interface at store level. The existing scale network within the stores was maintained as was the current scale inventory.
Operated by the Salzman family with a history dating back over 85 years, Dave's is a well recognized in the greater Cleveland area as a true community supermarket with a dedicated customer base and many lifetime employees. Currently 9 stores, Dave's Supermarkets offer complete service from a full roster of specialty departments. The installation of PLUM will allow Dave's to achieve total pricing integrity of weigh/label PLU's. The central support of scale data coupled with price integrity is providing a significant benefit to Dave's by way of increased customer satisfaction due to correct pricing and labeling, more labor to apply to customer service, and an increased bottom line due to automatic sale price resets.
