Rowe's Supermarkets selects ePLUM Scale Manager / November 2005
TORONTO, CANADA (November 22, 2005)- Invatron is pleased to announce that Rowe's Supermarkets of Jacksonville, Florida has selected ePLUM Scale Manager to provide scale management to its chain of full service supermarkets.
The Rowe's store locations will be fed with data generated in BRdata's Boss item management application. ePLUM Scale Manager will run at the corporate level on a central server and manage all scale communications as well as provide a complete set of help desk tools that includes making each scale visible to the whole enterprise. The existing scale network within the stores will be maintained as will the current scale inventory. ePLUM will provide the flexibility to introduce TCP-IP scales creating a hybrid environment of both serial and ethernet equipment.
Rowe's Supermarkets is a new grocery chain, owned and operated by former Albertson's executive Robert Rowe. The seven stores are all former Albertsons' locations that have been purchased by Rowe. The Rowe's stores will offer a new format tailored to the requirements of each location based on consumer expectations. Each location will offer a full-service grocery store, providing a variety of specialty departments such as Fresh Produce, Service Meat and Fish, Pharmacy, and Bakery-Deli.
