Woods Supermarkets selects ePLUM Scale Manager / September 2005
TORONTO, CANADA (September, 2005)- Invatron is pleased to announce that Woods Supermarkets of Bolivar, Missouri has selected ePLUM Scale Manager to provide scale management to its chain of full service supermarkets.
Woods Supermarkets in the latest in a growing number of AWG members to implement the ePLUM application. Operating 8 stores, Woods has been an integral component of the Bolivar, Missouri community since 1947. Still operated by the Woods family, these stores have a strong focus on fresh food operations and customer service.
Each Woods' store location will be fed with data generated by TCI Solutions HQ application. HQ will be used to manage scale-item details centrally, maintain data integrity and eliminate data errors in the scales. Scale communications will then be managed by Invatron's ePLUM Enterprise Scale Manager, running at the corporate level on a central server. ePLUM provides a complete set of help desk tools that make each scale visible to the enterprise. A new scale network, including Systech Port Servers, will allow Woods to support their existing serial scales. This new configuration also accommodates TCP/IP scales, eventually creating a hybrid environment of both serial and ethernet equipment.
