Cardenas and Longos select ePLUM 2.5 and Scale Resource Manager from Invatron Systems Corp. / November 2006
TORONTO, CANADA (November 1st, 2006) – Invatron Systems Corp., a leading provider of integrated retail enterprise software solutions, is pleased to announce that Cardenas Markets in the U.S. and Longos Supermarkets in Canada are implementing ePLUM 2.5 with the Scale Resource Manager module to centrally manage their store installed weigh scale systems.
ePLUM v2.5 is a totally Web-enabled solution that provides centralized control of a retailers enterprise wide weigh scale sub-systems. Accessible from any computer running a Web Browser it allows support staff instantaneous access to any TCPIP or Serial scale device to enact corrective measures. Additionally, automated error alert messages can be delivered to any SMTP supported device thereby implementing a system to pro-actively alert staff of key issues like price changes not reaching the scales.
Scale Resource Manager (SRM) is an add-on module to ePLUM v2.5 which takes scale management to the next level. SRM provides the ability to send and receive scale label formats, graphics, fonts, speedkeys and other like configuration and support files. This can be done in a manual or scheduled way so that you can be sure the labels logos and graphics are delivered at the precise time your new marketing program is starting. This capability can save the retailer thousands of dollars each year, as this type of update currently requires onsite Scale Service Technicians to carry out this process.
