Island Independent selects PLUM Host and PLUM Store for Windows / June 2006
TORONTO, CANADA (June 3rd, 2006) – Invatron is pleased to announce that Island Independent Buying Group of Chemainus, BC has selected PLUM Host and PLUM Store for Windows to provide scale management to its chain of Independent full service supermarkets.
IIBG is a locally owned and operated purchasing organization located on Vancouver Island. They offer products and services to a group of supermarkets operating under the Country Grocer, Food Country, and Village Market banners. The stores service a vast region of the island and IIBG ensures they have the products and systems to both effectively operate and service the customer.
The installation of PLUM will provide IIBG with the ability to achieve total pricing integrity of weigh/label PLUs and complete control of all scale data. The central support of scale data is providing a significant benefit to IIBG by way of increased customer satisfaction due to correct pricing and labeling, more labor to apply to customer service, and an increased bottom line due to automatic sale price resets. PLUM Host provides corporate data feed and PLUM Store at store level provides the independent operator with a user interface to manage store specific items and data.
