Homeland selects ePLUM 2.5 and PLUM Host from Invatron Systems Corp. / October 2009
TORONTO, CANADA (October 1, 2009) – Invatron Systems Corp., a leading provider of integrated retail enterprise software solutions, is pleased to announce that Homeland Stores of Oklahoma City, OK is implementing ePLUM Scale Manager 2.5 and PLUM Host to centrally manage their in-store weigh/label scale equipment.
ePLUM Scale Manager 2.5 is a multi-vendor, web-enabled solution that provides retailers with centralized control of in-store scales and printers. Accessible from any computer running a web browser, it allows support staff instantaneous access to any ethernet or serial scale device. ePLUM, a full-featured and easily implemented solution, is designed to eliminate data integrity issues, and meets legislated requirements such as support for trans fats, allergens, and country of origin labeling (COOL). Moving from a traditional thick client model, ePLUM provides pro-active, rather than re-active tools to the user. Item data hosting at Homeland is provided by PLUM Host.
Spun off by Safeway in 1987 and acquired by AWG in 2002. In 2007 Homeland acquired 7 Albertson’s stores and in 2008 purchased the 18 United Supermarket stores in Oklahoma.
