Eataly selects PLUM Scale Management from Invatron Systems Corp. / September 2010
NEW YORK, NEW YORK (September 28, 2010) – Eataly, celebrity Chef Mario Batali's new Italian food mecca on 5th Avenue in New York City, is utilizing Invatron Systems Corp.'s PLUM Scale Management for its scale communication requirements. At over 42,000 square feet, with seven different restaurants and a 4,500-square-foot roof-top beer garden, Eataly has taken New York by storm since its recent opening. The store is a mecca of all things "Italy" including individual departments, many of which include their own on-site restaurant, a cooking school run by Lidia Bastianich, gelato, housewares and of course, espresso.
PLUM Store is communicating all required item data, including ingredients, nutritional facts, food safety instructions and price, to all in-store weigh label equipment. Invatron is thrilled to be part of such a retail food experience and looks forward to additional locations as Eataly expands the enterprise.
This is PLUM's third installation in high profile food emporiums in recent months, following celebrity chef Mark McEwan's shop, McEwan's, in Toronto and Hubbell and Hudson in Houston, which will open a second location.
