BI-LO selects PeriScope Fresh Item Management (FIM) technology from Invatron Systems Corp. / July 2011

TORONTO, CANADA (July 1, 2011) – Invatron Systems Corp., a leading provider of integrated retail enterprise software solutions focusing on Fresh departments in grocery, is pleased to announce that BI-LO, a 207-store supermarket retailer with headquarters in Greenville, SC, has selected Periscope Fresh Item Management as its Enterprise FIM solution.

PeriScope FIM is a web-enabled, thin-client application suite, utilized for the complete management of all operational functions within the fresh food departments of retail grocery stores. Features include insight into Retail Shrink, Case Replenishment, Production Planning, Demand Forecasting and Backroom Inventory control.

Building on a 13-year relationship with Invatron and PLUM Scale Management, BI-LO will initially implement the Shrink Tracker module in 2011. Shrink Tracker provides markdown management, discard tracking and the operational and analytical tools required to assist retailers in identifying and quantifying persistent areas of loss due to excessive shrink.
