Winn-Dixie selects PeriScope Fresh Item Management (FIM) technology for Perpetual Inventory, Production Planning and Order Assist / June 2011

TORONTO, CANADA (June 1, 2011) – Invatron Systems Corp., a leading provider of integrated retail enterprise software solutions focusing on Fresh departments in grocery, is pleased to announce that Winn-Dixie Stores, a 485-store supermarket retailer with headquarters in Jacksonville, FL, has selected Periscope Fresh Item Management for Production Planning, Perpetual Inventory and Order Assist, building on the Shrink Tracking and Markdown Management module already implemented.

PeriScope FIM is a web-enabled, thin-client application suite, utilized for the complete management of all operational functions within the fresh food departments of retail grocery stores. Features include insight into Retail Shrink, Case Replenishment, Production Planning, Demand Forecasting and Backroom Inventory control.

Building on an existing relationship with Invatron that includes ePLUM Enterprise Scale Manager, Winn-Dixie is seeing increased inventory turns, reduced shrink and fresher product in the case as a result of enhanced production and ordering under PeriScope FIM’s influence. The system has been well received at both store and corporate levels.
