PLUM Host captures scale event or transmission information by item and UPC for consolidated central reporting. Now you can easily see important in-store events such as transmission errors, scale memory status and item level changes performed within the store. What’s more, with its unique ability to pull back all item file discrepancies including ingredients and nutrition fact data to the central system, PLUM Host makes auditing scale data simple.

…and close the loop between scale, store and host

When used with its in-store counterpart, PLUM Store, or Invatron’s next generation scale management solution ePLUM, PLUM Host can close the information loop between host, store, and scale. The last PLUM Host transmission is retained as a separate file in PLUM Store so that any changes made at the store level can easily be detected through a customizable Host-Store Audit report.

Automate data exchange enterprise-wide

PLUM Host has extensive automation features that free you from most daily processing. You can easily automate repetitive tasks or tasks that need to occur at regular intervals throughout the day or week—including activities related to importing the data from another pricing application, merging it with scale data in PLUM, and exporting the item by effective date and store number for distribution to the stores.

Detect & Rectify transmission errors

PLUM Host receives event log information from all your stores and reports on any errors that occur during nightly processing. By automatically pulling back error logs from your stores each night, you can easily detect any errors encountered during transmission. You can take corrective action immediately by notifying the store of the problem, re-transmitting the data remotely or a combination of the two.

A solution that adapts to your needs

Some customers prefer to store all their pricing information on their mainframe. Others are moving towards distributed databases. Regardless of your preference, PLUM Host can accept the required information from your host database on a server or through a mainframe interface. What’s more, it has been designed to easily connect to your corporate pricing or merchandising system; it can accept store-level data from your current point-of-sale feed or directly from an ODBC-compliant database. PLUM Host’s unparalleled flexibility enables you to distribute and manage your underlying data as you see fit, eliminating the need for an external application to manage the complexities of additional scale data, field formatting, validation, and distribution.
