The Invatron Serial Gateway Server

Invatron is proud to introduce the Serial Gateway Server (SGS) as part of our continuing commitment to provide customers with the widest range of software deployment options. The SGS is an optional solid-state platform for the eScaleLink remote scale communications package that works with our next generation scale management solution, ePLUM. Invatron’s SGS bridges your in-store serial and TCP/IP scales to the ePLUM server.

Scale management in a box!

The SGS puts all the required functionality to manage your scales into a single, easily deployed package. There's nothing to install and maintain on your in-store processor. There's no change to make to your network. Controlling TCP-IP and/or serial scales is a snap—the SGS talks to them through its ports plugged into your network using the included eScaleLink. What’s more, the SGS’ built-in Web server enables you to access all its functionality from a browser. Sending batches, running reports, checking scale status, and even making minor price changes is as simple as using a Web page.

Leverage your serial scale investments

With Invatron’s SGS, you can leverage your serial device investments in an increasingly TCP/IP-based world. The SGS extends the life of your serial scale investments by providing the remote control of serial scales over your wide area network (WAN).

Protect your scale operations

With eScaleLink on-board, the SGS can drive multiple vendor serial and TCP-IP scales from within the store environment. With their drivers safely stored in the SGS, your scales are protected from WAN outages.

Update your scales faster than ever

eScaleLink running in-store on Invatron’s SGS saves you time. Because the SGS communicates through all its ports simultaneously, your scales can be updated faster than ever. All your departments can get their updates at the same time, reducing the required window of opportunity.

No assembly required!

As a reliable solid-state device with its software pre-loaded, the SGS is easy to install and configure. Once it’s up and running, its software can be updated remotely. Depending on your requirements, the SGS is available as a standalone or rackmount unit.
